A cost-effective DIY gateway for cold-storage monitoring: one LoRa module listens continuously while the other sends ACKs / commands, so no packet is missed. Connects over Wi-Fi, Ethernet, fails over to 4G and sends SMS alarms.
With the proper firmware (time slots, ACKs) one gateway serves hundreds of nodes reporting every 5 minutes. Not compatible with commercial LoRaWAN devices (Milesight, RAK) — choose an 8-channel LoRaWAN gateway for those.
